SQUISHY ALPHABET BAG
Grab some Magic Beads, throw 'em in a big bowl with a bunch of water and let them soak for a few hours.
Write the letters A-Z on a piece of paper. Tape it to the table or wherever you will be using the squishy bag.
Use an alcohol pad to remove the white label from a gallon size bag. (It came off way easier than I thought it would!)
Fill the gallon size bag with the Magic Beads. Test it by laying it flat on the floor and squishing around the water beads. You want it nice and full, but not so much so that the kids can't easily move the beads around.
Once you've tested it, use duct tape to secure the top.
Place the squishy bag on top of the paper with the letters written on it. Use packing tape to adhere the top of the squishy bag to the table.
As your kiddos find each of the letters, have them mark them off one by one as they go. If you don't want to create your own, grab this FREE A-Z RECORDING SHEET in my TPT store.
MAGIC LETTERS
Magically appearing letters? Yes, please!
All you need for this activity is a white crayon and some watercolors.
Using a white crayon, write the letters A-Z on a white piece of paper. (I used one of the non-washable ones and it worked great!) Tip: Write the letters in random spots on the paper, but do it in A-Z order so you don't forget any of the letters.
As the kids use the watercolors to paint the paper, the letters will "magically" appear!

LETTER HUNTS
Letter hunts are easy peasy and the kids LOVE them!
There are so many ways to incorporate letter hunts into your teaching! Here are a few of my favorites.
First, make the letter cards, by writing A-Z on sticky notes, index cards, or whatever you else have on hand. Want to simply print and go? Check out these letter hunts that come with leveled recording sheets.
Hide the letter cards all around the classroom. I tape them up on the back of chairs, on the walls, in their cubbies, toy bins, etc. Tape a few under the tables or desks too. It'll take them awhile to find 'em, but there will be squeals of delight when they do!
I give each kiddo a recording sheet attached to a clipboard and have them go at it. As they find each letter, they write (or color) it on the recording sheet.
